9th Annual Castle Pines Octoberfest featuring Grubologyblog.com’s Thrilla on the Grilla on Saturday, September 25th at The Castle Pines Marketplace - Thousands Gather for a Day of Family, Fun, Grilling, Music, and Food
CASTLE PINES, COLO. (July 30th, 2010) — The 9th annual Octoberfest will take place on Saturday, September 25th at the Castle Pines Marketplace, in conjunction with the inaugural Backyard Brawl, Thrilla on the Grilla, hosted by Denver’s newest food blog, Grubologyblog.com.
Starting at 11:00a.m., the City of Castle Pines will come alive with live music, the Thrilla on the Grilla grilling competition, gallons of beer and thousands upon thousands of traditional German sausages, BBQ, and plenty of entertainment and attractions for younger visitors. The Octoberfest will also feature local Colorado companies, non-profits, exhibitors, artisans, and a farmer’s market. For the families, there will be many diverse and fun exhibits.
Admission is FREE as are the BBQ samples and other food and beverages will be available at a low cost.
The Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce and Grubologyblog.com are co-hosting the event, alongside sponsors such as Castle Pines Marketplace.
“This year’s Octoberfest will be bigger and better than ever”, said Carla Kenny, Vice President of the Castle Pines Chamber. “With the addition of Grubologyblog.com’s Thrilla on the Grilla competition, additional food, beverages and retail vendors, we are excited to announce that the event has been moved to the Castle Pines Marketplace located off of the 25 Interstate and Castle Pines Parkway to allow for a larger event, easier access and additional parking.
“We feel that this event will be become the preeminent Front Range grilling battle. The competition will feature backyard grillers as well as restaurant competitors. Prizes will be awarded for each category as well as team theme and decoration of team area” said Grubology’s Founder, Shannon Wilson.
This year’s Chamber event is being produced in partnership with The Seed (www.theseedconnection.com) with designs created by Seabold Design (www.seabolddesign.com). A portion of the proceeds from this year’s grilling competition will be donated to the Semper Fi Fund.
